RHA Collection

Beauty at Rest, Flawless in Motion!
RHA Collection is the latest FDA approved hyaluronic acid (HA) filler for dynamic facial wrinkles and folds! This new and unique filler is highly flexible to move seamlessly with the natural movement of your face. Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (RHA) is made to be more like the natural hyaluronic acid in your skin. CANNULA vs. NEEDLE

Blunt-tipped microcannulas cause less bruising, swelling, and pain and are generally safer than sharp needles. They are used for many of the injections done and can be used in all parts of the face. We use the Dermasculpt brand Microcannula which is introduced through your skin after making a small hole with a needle. From there it can be glided on a plane underneath and in your skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do dermal fillers work?

The Restylane family of dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring molecule that holds one thousand times its weight in water, to plump up the area it is injected into.  Unlike neurotoxins which relax the muscles causing the wrinkles, dermal fillers such as Restylane are used to fill wrinkles and other areas and the results are immediate.

Which filler should I ask for?

Relax - Christine will figure that out!  After discussing your goals and expectations, Christine will choose a filler depending on the area that is being treated, and your previous experience with fillers.  For example, if you wish to fill wrinkles around the mouth, Christine may choose a filler that has more flexibility for a natural look.

How long does it last?

Results vary from person-to-person and depending on the area it is injected into, the amount of filler used, and the type of filler.   For example, a more dynamic area, such as the area around the mouth, may not last as long as a more stationary area such as the cheek bone.  Generally speaking, most fillers last anywhere from 6-12 months based upon experience.

Is there any down time?

As with any injectable, there is always a chance of bruising, swelling and soreness.  Bruising is significantly reduced when blunt-tipped cannulas are used.  Whether a person bruises and for how long also varies from person-to-person. It is also dependent on medications and supplements you might be taking. Over the counter medications such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), aspirin (in Excedrin), prescribed medications such blood-thinners (warfarin), and supplements such as St. John's Wort and Vitamin E can increase your chances of bruising.  If possible it is advisable to refrain from taking these medications for two weeks prior to treatment.  You should check with your medical provider before stopping any prescribed medication.
