Sculptra® Aesthetic: The Advanced Collagen Biostimulator

Restore Natural Volume and Youthful Radiance!

Sculptra® Aesthetic is a premier, FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to reverse the signs of aging by addressing the root cause: collagen loss. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that simply "fill" a wrinkle, Sculptra acts as a biostimulator, triggering your body’s natural ability to regenerate its own structural protein. How Sculptra Works As we age, collagen production slows down, leading to skin laxity, hollowed cheeks, and deep folds. Sculptra is formulated with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)—a synthetic, biocompatible, and biodegradable material that has been used in the medical field for decades. When expertly injected into the deep dermal layers using a needle or a precision blunt-tip cannula, Sculptra begins to rebuild the internal framework of your skin. This process creates a gradual, natural-looking lift that doesn't look "overdone."

Targeted Treatment Areas:

Sculptra is highly versatile and effective for total facial rejuvenation, specifically targeting:
* Temples: Filling hollows for a smoother profile.
* Cheeks: Restoring youthful volume and definition.
* Nasolabial Folds: Softening deep "smile lines" around the mouth.
* Jawline & Periphery: Tightening and contouring the facial frame.

Why Choose Sculptra?

* Long-Lasting Results: Scientifically proven to last up to 25 months, significantly longer than most temporary fillers.
* Gradual Transformation: Improvements appear subtly over time, giving you a refreshed, well-rested look without an "overnight" change.
* Proven Safety: An FDA-approved solution with a long-standing track record of safety and efficacy.

Your Treatment Plan: For optimal results, we typically recommend a series of 2 to 4 treatment sessions spaced several weeks apart to maximize collagen stimulation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

As with any injectable treatment, there is some discomfort that is greatly mitigated with topical anesthetic as well as anesthetic that is mixed into the Sculptra solution.  Cannulas are used for most or all of the procedure, which also decreases the amount of discomfort.

Will I bruise/what is the down time?

As with any injectable, there is always a chance of bruising, swelling and soreness. Bruising is significantly reduced when blunt-tipped cannulas are used. Whether a person bruises and for how long also varies from person-to-person. It is also dependent on medications and supplements you might be taking. Over the counter medications such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), aspirin (in Excedrin), prescribed medications such blood-thinners (warfarin), and supplements such as St. John's Wort and Vitamin E can increase your chances of bruising. If possible it is advisable to refrain from taking these medications for two weeks prior to treatment. You should check with your medical provider before stopping any prescribed medication.

How many treatments will I need?

Typically, 2-3 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart are recommended.  At each visit we will assess your response and determine how many vials you will need.  One rough way to estimate how much you will need is to anticipate one vial per decade of life.  If you are in your 50's then is is likely that you will need a total of five vials, so 1st treatment would be two vials, followed by second treatment of two vials then third treatment with one vial.

How long does it take to see results?

You will start seeing results about six weeks after your first injection but since this is a gradual process yielding subtle results, it will take 2-4 treatments over a period of 8-12 weeks.

How long does it last?

After a 2-3 treatment course, it will last up to 2 years. After that, it is recommended to do an annual touch-up with 1-2 vials per year.
